Witness Confident is running StreetViolence.org as an independent community initiative out of our own charitable funds for a year from 21.2.12. While this would not be possible without the support of our few enlightened funders, we now need to raise more money so we are able
- to ensure that this service helps stop the random violence that causes so much misery and fear, and
- to extend the service to other parts of the country that want or need it later in the year.
As a result, we are now requesting funds to promote this service so that
- people who do witness street violence in London know about this new and simple way for them to let the police know they can help; and
- outside of London local people, police forces, and the forthcoming Police and Crime Commissioners can be briefed on how this new service can reduce crime in their area.
