Act
Talking’s vital but actions speak louder than words. We’re not saying that all we need is a handful of heroes and the world will change. What we want is everyone – particularly ordinary people like us - to start influencing the community around them and to make a stand and, if it comes to it, to take the stand.
And when we do, the powers that be, the police, the lawyers and the judges will have a helpful and constant reminder that that they are there to serve us, the community. If we – the great majority - don’t make this clear then there’s a risk that the professionals will lose sight of us and end up focusing only on the narrow issues and the criminals in front of them.
We reckon that if at any time out of every 22 people, 7 are prepared to stand up then we’ll turn the tables and start to reclaim our communities. And we don’t want the same 7 to be doing it all the time – rather if we each do it about one third of the time, then not only do we spread the load and share the satistaction but we turn the tide sooner and make a real and lasting difference.
