Talk

To start with we’ve got to persuade others that together they and we can make a difference.  And persuasion doesn’t happen without talking.  While there are some who may never change, there are many more who would like to have the confidence to stand up and speak out.  Use this website (and the materials we will be putting on it over the coming months) and get people talking.  Talk to your friends, your family, your neighbours and your workmates.  Ask them if they would walk-on-by and how they would feel if they were the victim of a street attack and nobody bothered to help.  Talk at the local school, the church and other faith centres, the football club, the bingo hall and your corner shop.  And if you can, use social networking sites to spread the message.
